Families: Please do not send children to school if they are sick, even with cold-like symptoms. If you receive services at home, let your service provider know if anyone in your home is ill. Consider wearing a mask and putting masks on children (if appropriate) during the next few weeks.

Early Learning Hub Connects More Than 600 Families to Free Preschool
In the spring of 2022, our Early Learning Hub launched a new website to connect families in Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook counties to free preschool options in their communities. By November, more than 600 children were enrolled in a preschool program.

Join Us As We Celebrate Native American Heritage Month
Historical narratives told about Native Americans, including the first Thanksgiving, often perpetuate harmful stereotypes and racist ideologies. It is important to set the record straight, acknowledge Native peoples, debunk myths and recognize Indigenous people as contemporaries.

Sarah Foster Joins National Alliance for Medicaid in Education Board of Directors
At its annual conference on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Baltimore, Maryland, the National Alliance for Medicaid in Education named its 2023 board of directors. Among those selected was Sarah Foster, the school Medicaid program manager at Northwest Regional Education Service District.

Remembering Grant Writer Crystal Greene (1982-2022)
After a brief battle with colon cancer, NWRESD grant development specialist Crystal Greene, 40, has died. Crystal was a vibrant and energetic force for good. She excelled at describing complex projects and programs in easy-to-understand terms and garnered millions of dollars for districts.
