Home MenuInstructional Coaching Network
The Instructional Coaching Network is a professional learning community for educators who facilitate adult learning in their school or district. By supporting instructional coaches, the network helps school districts expertly implement strategies across their system and educator workforce that will lead to student growth. The regional approach connects coaches from districts across our region for job-alike collaboration and sharing of resources.
Participants will develop strategies to collaboratively plan with teachers, provide personalized feedback and use a continuous improvement model to establish and pursue student-focused goals.
This year the Instructional Coaching Network is providing Professional Development for Instructional Coaches and Leaders across the region by partnering with Lori Cohen.
Deepening Your Practice as a Coach
In this series, participants will focus on what are the practices that deepen one’s practice as a coach. Throughout a balance of in-person and virtual sessions, participants will engage in practices that increase self and social awareness; surface identity and power, explore socialization and beliefs; disrupt biases; investigate emotions; and support long-term change for those they lead. This workshop is for experienced coaches, mentors, leaders, or anyone who hopes to deepen their communication skills through coaching.
Intended outcomes:
- EXPLORE tools and habits of coaching that lead to long-term change
- REFLECT on ways of being and approaches as a coach
- PRACTICE skills, tools, and conversations that build and sustain relationships
- CO-CREATE a culture of belonging and CONNECT to share strategies and dilemmas
- INTEGRATE and TRANSFER learning to one's context
New Coaches Academy: Coaches who are new to the network will get additional time with our ICN team to get to understand the tools and strategies.
Coach Collaboratives: District coaches will meet every other month virtually to collaborate, discuss problems of practices, analyze data and share success stories to create a true network across the region.
