Important Updates Coming to Attendance Services and Truancy
Starting in the fall of 2021, Senate Bill 817 removed the Class C violation of truancy in Oregon. As a result, Oregon county courts no longer accept truancy citations. Therefore, NWRESD’s attendance team will no longer issue citations for truancy.

NWRESD Finance Director Receives Internationally Recognized Fiscal Certification
In the world of school finance, there is only one nationally recognized certification available. It’s called the Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations or SFO for short. This past August, our finance director Tera VanDyke received her SFO.

Free Preschool, Playgroup Opportunities Available in September
We are hosting free preschool and playgroups for children ages 3-5 who are typically developing to learn and play alongside children who are receiving services from us.

School Nurses Help Students Bring Their Best Selves to School
Nurses keep track of an average of 1,500 students every school year. And every day, they make sure students receive medication, manage chronic conditions, provide first aid and connect students to health care and other resources.
