You are encouraged to complete these assessments in partnership with your engagement team and/or other key representatives (association reps, students, school board members, CBOs, employees who facilitate community engagement, etc.). While it is not expected that you are at collaborate/defer or even consult/involve in every area all the time, we hope these self-assessments can give you some ideas for how you can develop measurable and focused next steps toward deepening your commitment to working in partnership with your various school district communities.
Community Engagement - Progress Marker 1
Community engagement should be authentic, consistent, and ongoing. The strengths that educators, students, families, focal groups, and tribal communities bring to the educational experience should inform school and district practices and planning. Parents and families should be informed about and involved in their children’s education with the ultimate goal of building collaboration and trust to support student learning.
Start the assessment from scratch or access your district's assessment in your district folder.
