We provide Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education to eligible children ages birth to five who live in Columbia County. We evaluate children to determine whether they are eligible for special education services.
Common services include:
- teaching parents and giving them tools and strategies for helping their child learn and grow
- providing speech-language pathology to children
- providing physical and/or occupational therapies to children
-
connecting families to preschool opportunities
We provide services in a variety of settings, including in the child's home, at in-home or center-based day cares, in community preschool programs, in NWRESD classrooms or in other community settings.
We also host meetings for school counselors, special education directors and superintendents from Columbia County school districts.
