The Classroom of the Month recognition earned her $1,000 in classroom supplies donated by a local chapter of the Oregon Freemasons. Lee Ann is the lead deaf and hard of hearing teacher for our specialized classroom in Hillsboro.

    This month, the Oregon Legislature adjourned, having allocated only a $22 million correction to the statewide EI/ECSE budget. We fought hard for adequate EI/ECSE funding, but painfully we are still $29 million short of the Oregon Department of Education’s recommended statewide budget number.
