Northwest Regional Education Service District
Home MenuDay Treatment Program
The Tigard-Tualatin School District now operates the Day Treatment Program. For more information about this change, read the letter we sent to families:
Dear families -
Northwest Regional Education Service District provides educational programming at the Lifeworks Northwest Day Treatment Program in Tigard. We are writing because your child receives educational programming there.
Starting in the 2022-23 school year, Tigard-Tualatin School District will take over the state contract for providing educational programming to children at Lifeworks Day Treatment.
What does this mean for your child?
The NWRESD and TTSD special education teams are working together to ensure a smooth transition with as little disruption as possible. Much of the educational programming will remain the same (curriculum, class schedule, etc.) and your child will continue to receive all of their IEP supports and services through TTSD educators. Additionally, there will be several staffing changes in classrooms:
ADTP will be saying goodbye to John, Kathy, Amy, Irina, and Abby at the end of the school year.
I will also be saying goodbye to both programs at the end of the school year.
We know that any change can be hard for students and we are working with our LifeWorks Northwest partners to make sure that students have an opportunity to say goodbye to any staff who are leaving. It has been our privilege to work with the incredible students at Lifeworks Day Treatment, and I know that TTSD staff are excited to have this opportunity moving forward.
Heidi Dawkins, Associate Director of Student Services for TTSD will be the new principal at Lifeworks for educational programming. Please find her contact information below.
Thanks,
Bethany Bowers
