Recent News
Cuts to Early Intervention, Early Childhood Special Education Gut-Wrenching for Families, Educators
Last year, the Oregon Legislature cut the biennial general fund budget of a critical early education program called EI/ECSE. On Jan. 9, parents, educators and staff from NWRESD gathered at the Beaverton Early Childhood Center in south Beaverton to ask legislators to adequately fund the program.

Nominate a Support Professional of the Year
Education support professionals work together with teachers and administrators in Oregon’s schools to keep schools organized, safe, clean, secure and operational. They ensure students are fed, transported to and from school, cared for and connected. Nominations are due Feb. 21.

Remembering Tina Weeks (1967 - 2023)
With great sadness, we are sharing with our Northwest Regional Education Service District communities that Tina Weeks has passed away. Tina was a teacher who worked in Tillamook County for more than 15 years.

Northwest Regional Education Service District’s Efforts to Expand, Improve Child Care Gain Community, Business Support
Clatsop County’s youngest residents still don’t have access to the quality child care their families need. The county remains what is considered a severe child care desert for infants and toddlers — meaning there are more than 10 children for every available program slot.
