Child Care Provider in Tillamook Blends Twin Desires to Work, Raise Children at Home
After her first child was born, Rebecca Clifton decided she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. But she also yearned to work and earn a paycheck after working for many years. She was able to blend her desire to do both when she became a registered family child care provider.

Respiratory Illnesses Are Rising. Take These 8 Steps to Keep Your Family Healthy for the Holidays.
Families: Please do not send children to school if they are sick, even with cold-like symptoms. If you receive services at home, let your service provider know if anyone in your home is ill. Consider wearing a mask and putting masks on children (if appropriate) during the next few weeks.

Early Learning Hub Connects More Than 600 Families to Free Preschool
In the spring of 2022, our Early Learning Hub launched a new website to connect families in Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook counties to free preschool options in their communities. By November, more than 600 children were enrolled in a preschool program.

Historical narratives told about Native Americans, including the first Thanksgiving, often perpetuate harmful stereotypes and racist ideologies. It is important to set the record straight, acknowledge Native peoples, debunk myths and recognize Indigenous people as contemporaries.
