It was a record-breaking first quarter for our grants team. Since July 1, NWRESD has been awarded 21 grants worth more than $6.4 million for partner districts or ESD-run programs.

This summer, NWRESD’s parent support and engagement team surveyed and/or interviewed more than 650 students and families. We created a recap video so families and partners can see how we have integrated their voices into our plans for the 2020-21 school year.

We have not reduced the spread of COVID-19 enough in our communities to be able to provide in-person instruction. We will need to extend comprehensive distance learning through at least the end of the first semester Feb. 5, 2021.

Daniel Bair, a student who experiences vision loss, was recently featured by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. Daniel has received orientation, mobility and vision services from NWRESD's team since he was 3 years old.
