Community members who volunteer their time and talents to improve and enrich public school programs are valuable assets. The Board encourages participation of individuals to perform appropriate tasks under the supervision of Northwest Regional Education Service District (NWRESD) personnel. 

The administration is responsible for the recruitment, use, coordination and training of volunteers as directed or delegated by the superintendent. Every effort should be made to use volunteers in a manner which will ensure maximum contribution to the welfare and educational growth of students. 

All volunteers will submit a NWRESD volunteer application form and, if working with a student or group of students without supervision of NWRESD personnel, will be subject to reference and criminal records checks prior to working with students. 

A volunteer who knowingly makes a false statement, as determined by the ESD, on an ESD volunteer application form may be denied the ability to volunteer in the ESD.
