The Board believes that participation in interscholastic athletics offers individual students opportunities to grow physically, intellectually and socially through their participation in team and individual sports.

Any interscholastic athletic competition must be appropriate for and available to both male and female students. Students will be encouraged to participate on the basis of their interest and physical condition. Appropriate coaching and supervisory personnel will be provided for all school-sponsored athletic events.

The Northwest Regional Education Service District (NWRESD) is not a member of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA), however, any interscholastic competition will be conducted under standard rules for the competition, applicable federal and state laws, and the policies of the NWRESD.
