The Board may excuse students from a state-required program or learning activity for reasons of religion, disability or other reasons deemed appropriate by the Northwest Regional Education Service District (NWRESD). 

An alternative program for credit may be provided. 

Request procedures for an alternative program and alternative credit shall be developed by the superintendent.
