This event will be hosted by the Oregon Department of Education.
Using scenarios and case examples, participants will learn about:
- Section 504 as disability civil rights law
- The obligation of the district to locate students with disabilities
- How 504 plans can communicate access to a free appropriate public education
- The importance of utilizing processes to determine 504 eligibility and placement
- The requirement of team-based decision-making

- Section 504 case managers or building-level 504 Coordinators (school counselors, Dean of Students, TOSAs, COSAs, and building administrators)
