This event will be hosted by the Oregon Department of Education.

Using scenarios and case examples, participants will learn about:

• Section 504 as disability civil rights law
• The obligation of the district to locate students with disabilities
• How 504 plans can communicate access to a free appropriate public education
• The importance of utilizing processes to determine 504 eligibility and placement
• The requirement of team-based decision-making

Who Should Attend:

• Section 504 case managers or building-level 504 Coordinators (school counselors, Dean of Students, TOSAs, COSAs, and building administrators)
