Our research, assessment and evaluation team helps educators in our region use data to improve outcomes for students, especially those who have been historically pushed to the margins. We do this by making sure educators have access to quality data and training.

We see high-quality data as an integral part of our continuous improvement process. We are committed to data quality and ensuring our decisions are grounded in the best possible information about program- and student-level outcomes.

We offer coaching to districts in our region on setting up and running multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) at a school- or district-level. We also provide technical support on using ion software.

Current Focus Areas

We support school districts with the data collection, reporting, and evaluation needs connected to their Student Success Act Plans. We also help districts monitor the academic return on investment from these state funds.

We also help our Northwest Regional ESD-run programs with evaluation, research, data analysis and outcome monitoring.

Oregon Schools Data Dashboard

We also host the Oregon Schools Data Dashboard, which allows you to look at data for any school district in Oregon.

The dashboard includes nine focus areas. These include student and federal program demographics; regular attender data; English language arts and mathematics state assessment scores; 9th grade on track, four year graduation and five year high school completer numbers and employment projections.
