Reinforcements in the Classroom for Students with ASD

This training is for directors, teachers, assistants, and providers who work in preschools, Head Start, child care centers, or family child cares.

  • Location: Virtual via Zoom

Participants will explore strategies to support young children on the Autism Spectrum by using reinforcers in an early childhood environment to build positive behavior . A reinforcer is defined as any event that immediately follows a behavior and results in the likelihood that particular behavior will happen again in the future.

•Examine how reinforcement impacts a child’s learning and behavior.

• Assess and determine what motivates/reinforces a child.

•Use the reinforcement to encourage learning and positive behavior.
