Participants will explore strategies to support young children on the Autism Spectrum by using reinforcers in an early childhood environment to build positive behavior . A reinforcer is defined as any event that immediately follows a behavior and results in the likelihood that particular behavior will happen again in the future.
•Examine how reinforcement impacts a child’s learning and behavior.
• Assess and determine what motivates/reinforces a child.
•Use the reinforcement to encourage learning and positive behavior.
