This training is for Directors, teachers, assistants, and providers who work in preschools, Head Start, child care centers, or family child cares.
Participants will attend a three-hour training that will teach the importance, need, assessment, development, and implementation of a structured classroom environment and use of visuals to maximize learning for students with Autism.
The classroom environment is essential in setting up an effective classroom. The classroom arrangement should facilitate communication and social skills as well as provide the structure to tell students “what to do.” Visuals are the best-understood and most dependable “language” of children with ASD at all functioning levels. Visuals are key elements that help the child process information and increase independent functioning. CKC: SN & LEC | Set: 2 | Age Group: Preschool
